One of my favorite things from my kids’ school is the All Saints’ Day Mass. As Mass begins, some 75 kindergarteners process into church dressed as their favorite saints.
Not only is the moment beautiful because of the sheer joy on the faces of every parading 5 and 6 year old, but because of the incredibly array of saints on display.

This diversity of saints shows us that holiness is truly possible (Matthew 19:26) and reminds us that we are all “unique and unrepeatable” (JP2) souls who are meant to be our own unique and unrepeatable saints – in our own time and in our own ways, through our own struggles and with our own gifts, in the midst of our own families and through our own vocations, etc.
This is why I love All Saints’ Day so much – and believe it deserves more of our attention.
And so, to honor our amazing friends in Heaven and remind us of our own call to holiness, I’ll be throwing a book giveaway every year on All Saints’ Day!

Please note: Like my other giveaways, only members of The CRT Crew (CatholicReligionTeacher.com email subscribers) are eligible for this raffle. So, if you’re not yet a part of this awesome community, be sure to GET SIGNED UP so you don’t miss out on this giveaway or any other ones throughout the year! 👍 👍
For my inaugural book giveaway in 2021 I teamed up with Ave Maria Press (shout out!) and mailed out 5 free copies of Sweet Jesus, Is It June Yet?: 10 Ways the Gospels Can Help You Combat Teacher Burnout and Rediscover Your Passion for Teaching by Amy Cattapan.

As a part of this year’s raffle, each teacher shared their favorite saint and one book that has had a big influence on their faith and/or life as a teacher. Want to see this impressive list of 39 favorite saints and 63 life-changing books? Check ’em out HERE!
And hey, if you didn’t win this year, no worries – there’s always next year! 🤞 😊
Thank you, teachers of the faith, for being SO AMAZING.
May God bless you and help both you and your students be the saints God is calling you to be!
All saints, PRAY FOR US!!!
In Christ,
Greg
